The Presidio Museum is a re-creation of the Tucson Presidio built in 1775 as well as other historic spaces. Visitors travel back in time to learn about life as an early Tucsonan. Docent tours include information early Native Americans, Presidio residents, and Territorial Period settlers who lived in the Santa Cruz Valley. Visitors may also go on self-guided tours of the museum. Either way, you'll see archaeological remains of a pit house and can crawl into a re-created pit house, walk along the original Presidio wall, and experience a 150-year-old classic Sonoran Row house. Living History Days are held once a month from October through April. Check our website for dates and times.
